If we had checked our luggage, I wouldn't have faith we'd ever see our bags again!! That said, this was last summer when travel was a NIGHTMARE. they couldn't get us to Venice until 3 days later, so we pretty much got stuck in Dublin for 3 days and missed our entire Venice trip. which meant we would miss our connection to Venice. Thank goodness we decided not to check bags - after we checked in at the gate (and took our bags with us), I got a text 10 mins later saying the flight was delayed 5 HOURS. Our flight was last July when things were a nightmare, but unfortunately our trip turned into a nightmare further because of Aer Lingus lol.
